IGOR GLENN
…sings in four octaves from
a true bass voice to cowboy
yodeling. He plays guitar, banjo
and "slap" bass.
Igor was born in Alabama and
raised on Southern Gospel
and Bluegrass music.
He
migrated to Arizona to study
architecture at Frank Lloyd
Wright's Taliesin West. He
completed a music degree at
Arizona State University, where
he also attended law school.
Igor
was
a
professional
accompanist for folk singers
John Denver and Rod McKuen
and for band leader Benny
Goodman. He appears on the
PBS Special "This Land Is Your
Land." Igor traveled world wide
as a member of the New Christy
Minstrels.
Igor also creates humorous novelty
songs. He was a 3-time winner
on the NBC "Gong Show".
THE JAZZ COWBOYS
…play Western Swing as a
string band with horns in the
style of Louis Armstrong's
Dixieland music as performed
in the French Quarter of New
Orleans.
The Jazz Cowboys were the
opening act for Roy Rogers
and the Sons of the Pioneers.
They
have
performed
throughout the United States,
Canada to the Caribbean
and have toured Australia
and Europe with their show
of Americana Roots Music.
They have entertained for the
U.S. State Department at the
Cervantino Festival in Mexico
and at the residence of the
United States Ambassador in
the Dominican Republic.
Igor and the Jazz Cowboys
are available for cultural arts
programs, corporate events and
cookouts around campfires in
the desert.
